Ok. It's getting better
Today was training day number 3. Still with the same distance and intervals but it seemed a little easier. My Pace tonight was 17.14 before my cool down. I love my cool iPhone app and tonight I found that it maps my route on Google Maps. I wish I could figure out a way to upload here, probably can I just don't know how. My partner in crime Lucy is doing super too. I just keep telling myself I am just running to beat the bus...the big fat Your-too-slow-to-finish-on-time-bus. Lets just say I am motivated by embarrassment!

And she was off.....
With training day 2 under my belt I can officially say I am taking this one day at a time. I did the same routine as day 1 only with a different app (there's an App for that!) that shows distance and pace. I did a total of 2 miles with warm up and cool down (extra 7 minutes of cool down because the baby was sleeping so I just kept going) in 37 minutes. My pace wile doing 60/90's walk/run was 17.47, total pace including extra long cool down was 18.10. Not to shabby, but a long was to go. At this pace the loser bus will pick me up for sure!
Oh, and I was pushing a conventional stroller. As I progress, I will have to move up to a jogging stroller because that was hard work!!

Today
Today. Today I decided I was going to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon in 282 days with a dear friend. Today I started running, well, more like jogging/walking. I have been so out of shape for the better part of 2 years but that time is over! So...today I start thinking like a marathon runner, right? I have a 6.5 year old, an almost 5 year old and a 3 month old, I work 3 nights a week and I am going to run a half marathon? I'll just have to start today, one day at a time. And this is my blog to keep up with my training. I hope in February I can post pictures of my friend Lucy and I crossing the finish line with out medals in hand!
I downloaded the Couch to 5k app on my iPhone and made a playlist of all my fav tunes. Thanks to Aretha Franklin and Katy Perry I enjoyed my walk/run (read: jog!) Tomorrow I walk with the wee child while the big kids are at school and then Thursday I must find time to train again before going back to work that night.
